The Clyde Community LLC today announced they have reached an agreement to lease the Clyde Café to Clyde native, Nick Chartier.
In late 2016, a group of community members identified the need to keep the Clyde Café in operation. They formed the Clyde Community LLC to purchase the property. “We really wanted to remove some of the financial burden of operating the facility,” said Mark Gram, member of the LLC. “This restaurant is part of the social fabric of our community. We are hoping to give someone a chance to run the restaurant with minimal upfront costs.”
The café will have a name change and new menu under the operation of Chartier. “We are excited about this opportunity and grateful to the Clyde Community LLC,” said Chartier.
Chartier plans to start the process of getting licensed to run a restaurant and hopes to open his doors in early March.
