I've been waiting. Waiting to post on here and waiting to post anything on Facebook but the ink is pretty dry on this one.
Alco has been sold, and not just to anyone. Alco has been purchased by the Cloud County Co-op to start a distribution center for Purina.
The newspaper and radio have done a great job outlining the project goals and project terms, but my take away is this:
The biggest opportunities we have are in our own back yard.
Agriculture is our largest industry and it will only grow as we continue to feed more and more people. This isn't new information, but it has been proven with this recent project. What other opportunities are out there for agriculture or value added ag? How can we help our existing businesses grow? This is where we will be spending our time and resources in 2016.
Meanwhile, we have been celebrating this development in our own way at the CloudCorp office. That way isn't too far from Carlton's way as shown below.
